The Hunt is Over…
SHEFFIELD® INTRODUCES RANGER COLLECTION
Las Vegas, NV – The hunt is over. Sheffield® will debut its newest line of pocket knives, designed specifically for the extreme outdoorsman, at this year’s Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT). The new line launches with the Gunnison (12710/12711) and the Gallatin (12712/12713) which are both available with partially serrated and fine edged blades. The entire Sheffield line, including its newest Ranger Collection, is currently being showcased at this year’s SHOT Show (Booth 8346).
Sheffield will give away four Ranger Collection pocket knives
to a lucky attendee, one on each day of the show, at SHOT 2006. To win,
participants can simply leave a business card at the Sheffield booth. One
winner will be announced at the close of the show each day.
All pocket knives in Sheffield’s Ranger Collection are forged with
440A stainless steel for greater retention and corrosion resistance. 440A
steel contains high amounts of carbon and chromium, as well as a host of
other materials, which are key elements in producing hardness, edge retention,
and tensile strength. The blade shape is designed for precision cutting
power and is honed to a razor sharp edge that is very resistant to wear
and abrasion. The handle is comprised of 6061 aluminum. All four knives
weigh 2.7 oz., have a 3" blade, and are a mere 7" overall and
4" closed.
Handles and blades are both CNC machined for an exacting fit and quality
built from the first to last piece. Every washer and liner is Teflon coated
for long lasting, smooth movement. Ambidextrous thumb studs are positioned
for quick, easy one handed opening. The blade is held tight in a secure
open position via a locking liner and there is also a blade guard for safe
closing. It also features a 420 Stainless Steel pocket clip for easy carrying
and a lanyard opening.
The serrated versions feature a Tri-point design for tough cutting jobs that most blades can not handle. The Gallatin versions are also titanium coated to reduce friction and glare.
